Classmate Guests: Students with a lunch visitor may have one classmate join them — but only with a parent note granting permission from the other student’s parent/guardian.
Seating: For safety, please use ONLY the booths in the cafeteria when enjoying lunch with your child.
Outside Food: If you’re bringing outside food for your child and their classmate, please notify the other parent due to possible food allergies.

It is time to register your child for T League basketball for all students in 3rd through 6th grade. All registration for T League will be at the Trojan Academy; no forms may be turned in to the elementary schools. All registration forms will be provided at each sign-up date listed on the flyer.

• Absences: If your child will be out, please give the school a quick call to let us know. It helps us keep everything up to date and makes sure teachers are in the loop!
• Returning After an Illness: When your child comes back to school, please remember to send in a doctor’s note or parent excuse so we can mark the absence as excused. You can also submit excuses online — just head to barren.kyschools.us, scroll to “Report an Absence,” select your child’s school, and upload your note right from there.
Each student has six parent notes per school year (one note covers one day). Not sure how many you’ve used? No worries — just call the school office, and we’ll be happy to check for you!
• Afternoon Transportation Changes: Please call the front office before 1:45 PM with any transportation updates. We kindly ask that you avoid messaging teachers during the school day — they’re busy working with students and may not see messages in time. Calling the office helps us ensure everyone gets safely where they need to go at dismissal.

Hey families! We could use your help to keep our afternoon pickup running safely and smoothly. Please remember not to drive around the car rider line to get to the side parking lot for Door 17 pickup (Preschool & Kindergarten).
We know everyone’s in a hurry at the end of the day (we totally get it!), but cutting around the line can create unsafe traffic situations for our students and staff. Sticking to the regular car line helps keep everyone safe — especially our little ones!
